Located in Salem, South Carolina, Von Maqqedah Haus is a passionate, purpose-driven hobby breeder dedicated to producing the ideal long-coated German Shepherd. Every dog in our program has been hand-selected through thoughtful evaluation, meeting the high standards we’ve established for health, temperament, structure, and drive.

We specialize in long coat German Shepherds from both working and show lines. When I founded this program, my vision was clear: to create a dog that people would remember as the best dog they ever owned.

Our Temperament Standard

The temperament bar was set high by a truly special dog — anything less simply wouldn’t do. Our goal is to produce dogs who are social, reliable, and driven — dogs with the confidence to think independently yet the intelligence and willingness to take direction. This temperament mirrors what we value in exceptional service dogs and well-rounded, devoted companions.

To achieve this, we’ve carefully selected breeding stock that complements one another — where one may lack, another excels. This balance allows us to consistently produce pups that are not only beautiful but mentally stable, motivated, and adaptable to a variety of environments and lifestyles.
